Yes, Almericar allows you to modify or cancel your booking once it has been confirmed, as long as it is made before the agreed date and time of collection, if possible as far in advance as possible. You will receive a confirmation of the modification or cancellation by email.
The rental quote provided by Almericar takes into account all charges corresponding to the booking criteria. The list of these charges is detailed in the booking confirmation you receive. The rates are guaranteed for the rental associated with the confirmed booking. Only charges such as airport, train station pick-up and drop-off fees, or out-of-hours charges, may vary from the price shown on the website when making a booking request.

You must be over 21 years of age to be able to rent and, in any case, have held your driving licence for at least two years. The maximum age is 80 years old. However, age requirements may vary depending on the category of vehicle you wish to hire. In some cases, a young driver charge may apply.
No, Almericar only accepts the presentation of a valid driving licence.
In order to rent a car you must present a valid driving licence at the rental office. The expiry date of the driver's licence must be longer than the return date indicated on the rental contract.
It is compulsory to present your driving licence at the time of rental.
Payment for the rental will be made on delivery of the vehicle. Accepted forms of payment are credit/debit card and cash in some cases. This may vary depending on the type of vehicle rented and the duration of the rental.

The quote provided by Almericar includes all mandatory charges corresponding to the booking criteria, such as: Value Added Tax (VAT) or any other local tax; number of kilometres included, as well as the cost of the extra kilometre. The price quoted also includes airport or train station pick-up fees; comprehensive insurance with a specified excess. The maximum amount of money for which you are liable in case of damage or theft of the vehicle is indicated at the time of booking.
Almericar offers a limited mileage rate. Our staff will give you a fixed price with a certain number of kilometres or as many as you request. In case of excess kilometres you will be charged for each additional kilometre driven over the contracted limit.
When you pick up the vehicle, our office staff will be at your disposal to explain how to use the vehicle.
Almericar can allow you to cross the border with the express authorisation of the company.
The rules to be applied regarding the refuelling of the vehicle depend on the amount of fuel available in the vehicle at the time of rental. Almericar delivers the car with a certain level of fuel in the tank, which is indicated in the Rental Contract. The car must be returned with the same fuel level. In the event that the car is returned with less fuel, you will be invoiced for the amount of the same, without paying any refuelling or fuel service charge. Under no circumstances will you be reimbursed for any unused fuel.
In case of theft of the vehicle, you must contact the Almericar office. You must also provide Almericar with a copy of the police report of the theft within two working days, together with the key and the papers of the vehicle, as long as they have not been stolen.
Additional drivers are allowed to drive the vehicle. They must be expressly mentioned/identified in the rental contract.
A valid driver's licence is required for rental and must be presented at the time of rental. The driving licence must be written in Latin characters (European and/or international driving licence or translation).
At the beginning of each rental an amount may be charged as a deposit. This amount is based on: the estimated duration of the rental, the rate applied including taxes, possible extras such as petrol, kilometres etc. This amount will be refunded upon return of the vehicle if the stipulated conditions are met (no extra damage to the vehicle, similar fuel level, kilometres, etc.). Please refer to the information available on general rental conditions for more details. The use of cash for payment of rentals and/or deposit is limited (in cases where cash is accepted, this will be accompanied by a request for additional requirements - please check this with Almericar's reservations department).
A rental extension is possible, however, you must contact the office for approval. An additional dedicated fee will be charged.
Yes, you should check that the vehicle condition report accurately reflects the current condition of the vehicle. If you have found a new defect that is not noted in the condition report, please proceed to examine the vehicle together with an Almericar employee to update the condition of the vehicle as reflected in the rental contract.
If you have been fined during your rental, you will receive a notice of the fine from the fining body, which you will have to pay.
Almericar provides its clients with 24 hour roadside assistance. The numbers of the assistance company can be found both in the rental contract and in the folder with the documentation in the glove compartment. In the event of a breakdown or accident, you will receive rapid assistance. Remember that, in the event of an accident, you should always complete the accident report, giving full details of the circumstances in which the accident occurred. In such cases, you should always indicate the details of the opposing driver on the accident report (you will find the accident report form in the folder with the vehicle documentation). If you fail to do so, you will be liable for the cost of repairing the rented vehicle. Please read carefully the rental conditions and instructions provided upon collection of the vehicle. Damages will be charged immediately after the end of the rental period.
You can also return the rental car outside the normal opening hours. Upon request, Almericar offers an additional service outside opening hours. Simply specify a deadline when making your reservation or inform us in time if there is any sign of late delivery. Overnight drop-off box: Our overnight drop-off box is also available for you. Simply park your rental car and leave the car key in our drop box. If you return the vehicle earlier than agreed in the rental contract, you may be entitled to a refund of part of the rental charges.
The amount of the excess may vary, depending on the category of the rented vehicle. Our staff will inform you about the excess corresponding to the category of vehicle you wish to rent. If new damage is found when the vehicle is returned, the corresponding amount and the cost of the repair (including the applicable damage management and breakdown charges) will be charged. If this amount is less than the amount of the excess, the difference will be reimbursed. If the damage is due to the responsibility of a third party, and Almericar can recover the cost of this damage, the full amount charged for this concept will be reimbursed.
Our vehicle rental rates include comprehensive insurance with a limited liability coverage. There is an excess of variable amount depending on the type of vehicle rented.
When renting an Almericar car, we always provide Civil Liability cover for personal and material damage, in accordance with legal requirements. This cover is automatically included in the rental at no extra cost. There is an excess of variable amount depending on the type of vehicle rented.
You can obtain a copy of your invoice by requesting it from the staff on return of the vehicle. If you require it to be sent by email, this is also possible by providing a valid email address.
